Marble Grandstand support
Answers to the common questions, and where to write if something else goes wrong.
Twitch will not connect
- Open New race, then Twitch chat, and choose Connect Twitch.
- Open the twitch.tv page the game shows, sign in and enter the code. The code expires after 30 minutes.
- If the status light stays amber, check the Mac's internet connection, then choose Sign out and connect again.
Viewers cannot join
- Choose Open sign-ups first. The counter shows how many have joined.
- The command must start the message:
!joinor!play. - Each Twitch account gets one marble, and sign-ups stop when the field is full.
- Someone you blocked cannot join again until you unblock them in Settings.
Block or report a viewer
- Names that look offensive appear as Viewer and a number, and cannot be shown.
- Choose Block next to a viewer to remove them and keep them out of every future race. Unblock them in Settings, under Blocked Twitch viewers.
- Choose Report to block the viewer and email us their Twitch user ID. We read reports within two working days.
- Choose Report on Twitch to report the account to Twitch as well.
Races run slowly
- In Settings, under Graphics, choose a lower quality preset.
- Run fewer marbles: 50 is plenty for most screens.
Where things are saved
- Result pictures go to Pictures, Marble Grandstand.
- Rosters, results and settings stay inside the app on your Mac and are deleted with it.
- When you write, name your Mac model and macOS version, and add a screenshot if you can.
